Radiator Power Flushing

Power flushing is a chemical enhanced way to clean out your central heating system and radiators.

Sludge in your heating system causes cold spots on your radiators and reduces the efficiency of your boiler. Power flushing is an ideal way of cleaning all your central heating system without the mess of removing every radiator in your home.

Below are some signs that indicate your central heating system requires power flushing:

Central Heating System Is slow to warm up
Warm Water in the header tank
Central heating system has repeated pump failure
Radiators require frequent bleeding
Radiators have started to pin hole and leak
Water in radiators is dirty and discoloured
The boiler makes kettling like noises
Radiators are partially or completely cold

If you are facing one or more problems of the above , then please call us for a radiators power flush estimate.

If you have an old heating system (over 15 years old) this will be most likely and “open vented” system, where you have a boiler, tank(s) and cylinder. In this case, very often the system is open to the atmosphere with the expansion tank being uncovered allowing dust, insects and spores entering the water. This with a low dose of a central heating protector will cause sludge to build up causing circulating problems, component failure and bursting radiators.

If you are connecting a new boiler to an existing heating system, power flushing is an excellent method of ensuring the system is fully cleansed to meet the requirements for full boiler protection, freedom from noise and fuel economy, ensuring you are reaping the benefits of saving your money on your energy bills.

This is also a British Standard requirement to 7593.
